Leather
The largest part of the range and the reason most people end up here. Real grain patterns with a soft matte surface that warms slightly in the hand — the look of a leather-backed phone without the bulk of a leather case. Black is the one people ask for most; the range runs well past it.

This One Needs Heat. Every Time.
We’d rather tell you now than have you find out with the skin half on. A heavier material holds its shape, which is the whole reason it survives being carried without a case — but it also means it won’t stretch around your phone’s corners on its own. Warming it as you go makes it relax into the curve and stay there. Skip the heat and the corners lift within a week.
What counts as heat
An ordinary hair dryer on its hot setting does the job and costs you nothing. A heating pen gives you far more control at the corners and edges, which is where skins fail, and a heat gun covers larger areas faster if you fit skins often. You are warming the material, not cooking it — a few seconds at a time, moving constantly, until it goes soft enough to lay down.

Some people never put a case on. The phone was designed to be a certain size and shape, and a case undoes that. This is the skin for them — the heaviest material in our range, so the day-to-day scuffs that a bare back collects land on the skin instead of the phone. You still get the shape and thinness you bought the phone for, with a surface that grips instead of slides.
It works under a case too, as long as the case isn’t a bulky one — and when it eventually comes off, it comes off clean.

This skin is two layers — a backing and the skin itself. You peel the backing, land the bottom cutouts first, and squeegee upward from there, warming the edges and corners as you go.

3M Premium Skin FAQs
Do I really need heat, or can I skip it?
You need it, every time. This is a heavier material than our other skins and it holds its own shape — which is exactly why it protects a bare phone, and exactly why it won’t stretch around your corners by itself. Warm it as you work and it relaxes into the curve and stays. Skip the heat and the corners start lifting within a week. A hair dryer on hot is enough; a heating pen gives you much better control at the edges.
Is this harder to put on than your other skins?
Yes, honestly. The 3D Textured skins have a split backing that lets you fit one half at a time, and they only need heat if your phone’s edges curve. This one is a single-piece backing that needs heat throughout. It’s not difficult, but it asks for a bit more patience — which is why a clear practice skin comes in the box.
Can I use a case with it?
Yes, as long as the case isn’t a bulky one — this is the thickest skin we make, so a tight or heavily padded case can be a squeeze. That said, most people who buy this one are buying it precisely so they don’t have to use a case.
Is it actually 3M material?
Yes. “3M” in this market gets used loosely as a word meaning “good vinyl”, which is part of why we name it in the product. What you get here is the genuine material, and it’s a large part of what you’re paying for at this price — it behaves differently from generic vinyl when you heat it, and it comes off cleanly years later.
Will the leather finish wear or peel off?
The grain is in the material rather than printed on top, so there’s no print layer to wear through — that’s the main advantage of a finish over a design. What does eventually happen on any skin is edge wear at the corners, especially on a phone carried without a case. Heating the edges properly during application is the single biggest thing that delays it.
Does it protect my phone if I drop it?
No, and nobody selling you a skin should tell you otherwise. It’s a surface layer: it takes the scuffs, scratches and small knocks a bare phone collects day to day, and it’s thicker than most skins so it takes more of them. A drop onto concrete needs a case. If you want the look and the drop protection, a skin under a slim case gives you both.
Does it cover the whole phone?
