Nobody Reads It But You. Not Even Over Your Shoulder.
This is the whole range in one film. An anti-spy filter that turns your screen black from either side, and a UV-cured layer that sets hard after fitting to give you close to tempered-glass thickness — on a screen that curves, where neither privacy glass nor ordinary glass can sit flat. Around 0.25 mm, gloss or matte, cut for your exact model, and the UV lamp is in the box.

Read this before you order: in-display fingerprint sensors
Privacy films are not guaranteed to work with in-display fingerprint sensors on older phones. The anti-spy filter sits between your finger and the sensor, and a weaker sensor can struggle to read through it. Newer sensors are generally fine, and re-registering your fingerprint with the film already fitted resolves most cases. This applies to privacy protectors as a category — every non-privacy film we sell is completely fine with fingerprint sensors. If unlocking by fingerprint matters more to you than privacy, take the UV Hydrogel instead: same thickness, same lamp, no filter.
Readable Straight On. Black From the Side.
Sealed inside the film is a micro-louver layer — microscopic vertical blinds that only let light travel straight out towards you. Light heading sideways is stopped before it leaves the screen, so there is nothing for the person beside you to read.
Straight on — you
Full picture, everything exactly where you expect it
Starting to fade
The display darkens as soon as the viewing angle opens up
Dark — everyone else
The person next to you or behind you sees a black screen
Being straight about the trade-off: blocking sideways light costs you a little brightness head-on. Most people raise their screen brightness one step after fitting a privacy film and then never think about it again.
“UV” here does not mean liquid poured on your screen
If you’ve shopped for curved-screen protection before you’ll have met UV glass — and it means something completely different. That product is fitted by pouring UV adhesive directly onto your display, where it can seep into the earpiece, the ports and under the frame. Phones get damaged that way even in professional hands, which is why we don’t sell it at all. Our UV layer is sealed inside the film before it reaches you. Nothing is poured, nothing is liquid, and the only thing that touches your phone is the adhesive back of the film.
Glass Thickness, on a Screen Glass Can’t Fit
Thickness is the honest way to place this. It’s more than twice the standard hydrogel and most of the way to tempered glass — while still being a film that bends into a curve, with the anti-spy filter built in.
Hydrogel Film
Thinnest and most flexible. Covers the back too.
Privacy UV Hydrogel
Cures hard, wraps a curve, and nobody sees it but you
Tempered Glass
Hardest surface there is. Flat screens only, no privacy version.
There is no privacy tempered glass here, and that isn’t an oversight — rigid privacy glass on a curved screen lifts at the sides, and the privacy effect breaks down exactly where the display bends.
Gloss or Matte
Identical film, identical anti-spy filter, identical protection. This is purely how the screen looks and feels under your thumb — the privacy effect is exactly the same on both.
Gloss
The truest view from your own seat — colours as the manufacturer intended, with the filter doing the privacy work everywhere else. Pick this if you watch video and look at photos more than you game.
Matte
Anti-glare, hides fingerprints, silky under the thumb — the gaming finish, and in PUBG your thumb glides instead of sticking. On a privacy film it also stops your screen throwing reflections that catch someone’s eye in the first place.
Matte doesn’t make it more private — the filter does that identically on both. It just means one less thing drawing a glance towards your screen.
You Line It Up Before Anything Sticks
The backing is split into two separate pieces rather than one sheet, so the adhesive stays covered while you position it. You place the film, get the cutouts lined up with nothing stuck yet, and only then peel the first piece. Curing comes last, once it’s already where you want it.
Clean
Alcohol wipe, then dry with the cloth
Position It Dry
Both backing pieces still on — match the cutouts, straighten as often as you like
Peel One Half
Pull the first piece away and smooth that half from the middle outward
Slide the Second Out
Draw the remaining piece from underneath, smoothing the rest and easing the film into the curved edges as you go
Lift the Top Layer
Peel off the temporary protective layer — this comes off before curing, not after
Cure It, or Don’t
Curved screen: pass the included lamp over the film to set it straight away. Flat screen: you can skip this entirely — it cures itself within a few days of normal use
Everything in One Film
Anti-Spy Filter
Unreadable from the sides, sharp straight on
Cures Hard After Fitting
Soft going on, rigid after the lamp — or on its own within a few days
Wraps a Curved Edge
Where privacy glass lifts and the effect breaks down
Cannot Shatter
Film underneath — no cracked corner, no sharp edge
Cut to Order
Cut here for your exact model, not trimmed to fit

Privacy UV Hydrogel Screen Protector FAQs
Will it work with my fingerprint sensor?
Not guaranteed on older phones. The anti-spy filter sits between your finger and an in-display sensor, and a weaker one can struggle to read through it — newer sensors are generally fine. Whatever protector you fit, delete and re-register your fingerprint afterwards; that resolves the large majority of cases. If fingerprint unlock matters more to you than privacy, the UV Hydrogel is the same film without the filter.
Should I choose gloss or matte?
Protection and privacy are identical — it’s purely look and feel. Gloss keeps your display exactly as the manufacturer intended, deepest blacks and sharpest colour, and suits you if you watch a lot of video. Matte cuts glare in sunlight, hides fingerprints and gives that smooth glide under the thumb, which is why gamers ask for matte by name. There is one small extra for matte on a privacy film: it stops your screen throwing reflections that draw a glance in the first place. It doesn’t make it more private — the filter does that the same on both.
Is this the same as curved tempered glass with UV glue?
No, and it’s the most important difference here. That product is fitted by pouring UV liquid adhesive onto your display, where it can run into the earpiece, the charging port and under the frame — phones get damaged that way even in professional hands, which is why we don’t stock it. Our UV layer is sealed inside the film before it reaches you. Nothing is poured, and the only thing touching your phone is the adhesive back of the film.
How is this different from your Privacy Hydrogel?
Thickness and what happens after fitting. The Privacy Hydrogel is about 0.10 mm, stays flexible for good, comes in gloss or matte, and costs less. This one is about 0.25 mm and cures rigid once the lamp passes over it, so it’s much closer to glass while still wrapping a curved screen. The anti-spy effect itself is the same on both — you’re paying for thickness and hardness, not more privacy.
Does it make the screen darker?
Slightly, yes, and we’d rather say so. Head-on it’s a little dimmer and most people raise their brightness one step after fitting. That dimming is the filter doing exactly what you bought it for — blocking light that was heading sideways. If you mostly use your phone at home, a non-privacy film gives you a brighter screen for less money.
Do I need to buy the UV lamp separately?
No — it’s in the box, and here’s the part most people don’t expect: the film cures on its own anyway. Ordinary daylight does it over a few days of normal use. The lamp simply does it now rather than later. On a curved screen that’s worth doing, so the film is locked into the bend from the start; on a flat screen you can genuinely just fit it and forget it. Either way you end up with the same cured film, and there’s no step you can get wrong.
Does it cover the back of my phone?
No, this one is a screen protector. The standard Hydrogel Protector is the only one in the range cut for the back as well, and ordering both together triggers our automatic bundle discount.
