Is hydrogel protector the same as tempered glass?
No. Tempered glass is a rigid, hard layer; hydrogel is a thin, flexible film. Hydrogel wraps fully over curved edges where glass often can’t reach, giving a closer, more natural in-hand feel. Glass is harder against deep impact and scratches; hydrogel is thinner, lighter, and more flexible, with higher touch sensitivity.
Should I choose matte or gloss?
Gloss keeps your screen’s original clarity and colour, completely invisible. Matte adds an anti-glare, fingerprint-resistant texture with a softer touch — popular for the back panel especially, since it also improves grip. You can mix finishes, e.g. gloss on the front and matte on the back.
Will it interfere with my fingerprint sensor?
No. The film is thin enough to install cleanly over in-display and side-mounted fingerprint sensors without affecting unlock speed or accuracy.
